Pros and cons of SDBALL app for iPhone and iPad

SDBALL app good for

Once this gets multiplayer and lets you choose any team (without having to play yourself) it will get the 5th star
If you had the game for Nintendo and know how to play it, you wont regret this.... Would love to see the old logo for the icon - my only complaint really. Controls: 7/10 (it is a little tough to play on an iphone)
This is a near perfect adaptation of the original Nintendo game with all the songs and effects in their proper place. Even captures a nostalgic screen flicker. Kids wont like it but those who remember the game will be floored at how seamless this is. If you dont know how to play google the original instructions. Basically you have to sprint to get your power moves and each character has two distinct power moves. One straight sprint (double tap dpad) and hold fire (red) and one sprint plus jump and hold fire combo. You have to time it right. This game really comes alive with multiplayer. Awesome app. Get on the rest of the Nintendo games before you get sued.
Brought back some happy childhood memories. Runs great on iPad 2. Looks and sounds just like the original.
If you played this game on the NES (I did), this game is worth every penny and then some. If you are new to the game its probably going to be frustrating getting used to the controls and the pacing. Still the best dodge ball game ever made hands down!

Some bad moments

This game will likely always be free. Too bad cause I was really looking forward to it.
The NES version of this game had some of the worst flickering on the system, and this one might have even made it worse, if thats possible :(
This is an old NES game. Its worse playing on the iPhone. It was okay 25 years ago though.
As faithful of a translation possible from the old 8-bit game....thank you!!!!! This is absolutely amazing!!!!!
After all these years! This port is kinda of poopy, I used to play the hell out of this on the NES. There is no tutorial for how to play, you just have to already know, and the pause button is apparently the "ok" button for the menus. If you want to beam the ball you have to run from the back all the way to the front and about an 1/8 of an inch before you get to the middle court line press and hold the throw button. You can guide the ball while its in mid air also.
This is one of my favorite games of all time! Its a little glitchy, but I dont care. I got it for free. Its all still in there. Double tap running, then jump and throw for arial badassery! The different characters and special moves, I love it!
